Bob Heyman
Bob Heyman is Chief Search Officer at Mediasmith and is a leading author and entrepreneur in the field of Internet Marketing. At Cybernautics, a company founded by Heyman in 1994 and sold to USWeb in 1997, Heyman coined the terms "Audience Development" for building traffic to websites, and "Search Engine Optimization" (SEO). He is generally credited with inventing the agency side of the search engine management (SEM) process. From 1998 to 2001 Heyman was founder and CEO of eMarketing Partners, where his clients included IBM, NEC and ABC. The company was acquired in 2001 by the Catenas Corporation. He also co-founded CybeReps which was acquired by Interep. His books include Net Results and Net Results.2 (MacMillan/New Riders Press) and The Auction App (McGraw Hill).
Geoff Judge
Geoff Judge is an investor in early stage companies and an active member of The NY Angels. www.newyorkangels.com He often works directly with his investments on business strategy and business development. Recently he was the Chief Revenue Officer of Piczo Inc, www.piczo.com, where he was responsible for advertising revenue. He led the original angel round of funding for Piczo and was instrumental in helping Piczo raise its first round of institutional capital.
Previously, Geoff was the COO of Preclick, a Digital Photography software firm. Prior to Preclick, Mr. Judge was the Chief Operating Officer of Media Solution Services Inc., the market leader in Credit Card Billing Insert Media and a subsidiary of Havas (Nasdaq: HAVS); Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Media Division at and a co-founder of 24/7 Real Media; former President and Chief Operating Officer of Interactive Imaginations, one of 3 companies that merged to form 24/7 Media in 1997; and Vice President, Marketing for iMarket Inc., a venture-backed software company, ranked #27 on the Inc. 500 in 1996. Before iMarket, Mr. Judge spent nine years at American Express in the Card Division in several roles including VP and General Manager, Travel & Corporate Insurance Group and VP Marketing, New Cardmember Group.
Geoff is an investor in IndustryBrains (sold to Marchex Nasdaq: MCHX), Collective Media where he was instrumental in raising their first round of institutional capital, Preclick, Precision Prospects, Email Data Services, Payoneer, Hyperquality, JiWire, Zerve, Good Health Advertising, SchoolLoop, ReImage, and Transactis to name a few. He is on the Advisory Boards of Metamorphic Ventures, www.metamorphic.vc and iNovia Capital, www.inoviacapital.com. He also sits on the board of Global Cash Access (NYSE: GCA) .
Leslie Katz
Leslie Katz is Managing Director of the San Francisco office of Duane Morris Government Affairs LLC.
In addition to having held public office, her experience includes formulating plans and strategies for regulatory and legislative activities, developing and drafting legislation and policies, devising campaign plans, public speaking and advocacy.
Ms. Katz most recently served as the Regional Vice President of Sempra Energy and subsequently Sempra Energy Utilities where she represented the company before state regulatory and legislative bodies. Concurrent with her position on the Board of Supervisors, she served as Vice President for Business Development and Public Affairs at several technology companies. She has also been a participant in the U.S. State Department Speakers Program where she collaborated with U.S. embassies in volatile regions speaking about elections, emerging governments, leadership development and voting rights to political and community leadership in West Africa.
Formerly the President of the San Francisco Community College Board, Ms. Katz was first elected to that body in 1994. Ms. Katz formerly served as Chair of the San Francisco Democratic Party. She is also a member of the Executive Board of the California State Democratic Central Committee. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of numerous civic and professional organization. She is a member of the California Bar.
Tony Nethercutt
Tony is responsible for executing AdMob's revenue strategy, building the sales team and managing agency relationships. Tony is a leader in interactive advertising and considered an expert in both media and creative targeting with more than 20 highly successful years of sales experience. Prior to AdMob Tony was VP of Ad Sales at YouTube (acquired by Google) where he led the hypergrowth of the advertising sales team. Previously Tony was Director of Media Strategies at Yahoo!, VP of Business for Carat Interactive and managed the DoubleClick Network Sales office in San Francisco.
Robert B. Sherman
Sherman is a partner at The Pilot Group LLC, a middle market private equity firm. He oversees Pilot’s investments in their Television and Radio stations holding companies, as well as providing advice and counsel to Pilot’s other portfolio companies, especially in the area related to revenue generation.
Bob previously served as President, Interactive Marketing, America Online, Inc., where he led AOL's advertising initiatives across all AOL brands and services. He focused on building AOL's interactive marketing activities into a scaleable and sustainable advertising business.
Prior to that, he was President of Time Warner Cable Advertising Sales where he built the Company’s first centralized ad sales group which delivered record ad revenues.
With more than 30 years experience in advertising and media, Sherman also served as Executive Vice President of NBC's owned-and-operated radio stations, vice president and general manager of CBS's WCAU, Philadelphia and NBC's WNBC, New York.
David L. Smith
Smith, CEO of Mediasmith, Inc. in San Francisco, is a veteran in the advertising media management arena. David is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of new media application, media strategy, media planning and metrics, and has a number of awards to his name including an Effie and an ad:tech Individual Achievement award. As CEO, he wears many hats at Mediasmith. This includes hands on with client strategy, first hand involvement in the next great thing in media research, a passion for applying the next technology that "really makes a difference" and personal communications with clients and future clients.
Cory Treffiletti
Cory Treffiletti is President and Managing Partner for Catalyst: SF Strategy and President of Arkitetektive Group. Cory has been a thought leader in interactive marketing and advertising since 1995, by driving or growing successful interactive agencies as a senior executive with i-Traffic, Freestyle Interactive, Real Branding and Carat Fusion. Cory has launched marketing efforts for IUMA (formerly a division of eMusic), Sharkle (a division of ViTrue) and others. Cory has worked with some of the world's top brands, including BMW, Kodak, Western Union, Warner Bros., and Electronic Arts.
